Living Loved, Living Sent: Walking Fully in Your Identity in Christ

We’ve reached the final week of our Identity in Christ series—and I can hardly believe it. These past six weeks have been full of truth, correction, encouragement, and spiritual clarity. I pray it’s not just been information, but transformation—reminding you not just who you are, but whose you are.

Let’s review the truths we’ve covered and conclude with a charge to live as salt and light in the exact place God has planted you.

You Are His Masterpiece

We began this series with the foundational truth that we are God’s workmanship. Formed by His hands, knit together with purpose, and cherished beyond measure. When the enemy tries to whisper that you’re a mistake or a mess, you remind him: I am a masterpiece, handcrafted by the Creator of the universe.

This identity doesn’t change based on our feelings or how others treat us. We were created for a purpose, and it’s time we walk in that.

You Are Chosen and Adopted

In week two, we sat in the truth that you were chosen before the foundation of the world. You weren’t an afterthought or an accident. God knew exactly what He was getting when He chose you; still, He wanted you. You’ve been adopted into His family.

Understanding the biblical concept of adoption changed everything for me. In ancient Rome, adoption was permanent. It meant full inheritance and complete belonging. God says, “You are mine.” That truth brings peace when I’m tempted to feel unworthy or unloved.

You Are Made New

In Christ, we are new creations. The old has passed away, and all things have become new. Too many of us keep dragging our past into our present, letting shame define our identity. But that’s not who you are anymore.

You’ve been given a new name, a new nature, and a new future. The blood of Jesus has settled your account. Let that truth sink in: you are not your past—you are His.

You Are Empowered and Equipped

We talked about being empowered to do the very things God has called us to. We may feel inadequate, but our feelings don’t define our reality. The Spirit of God lives inside of us. Jesus said that He has given everything the Father gave Him to us.

That means we lack nothing. His grace is sufficient. His power is present. His Spirit is working in and through us. Comparison has no place in the Kingdom. You’re not supposed to look like her—you’re supposed to look like Christ.

You Must Renew Your Mind Daily

This world is loud. The enemy is cunning. And the battle often begins in our thoughts. We can’t afford to live without daily renewal in the Word of God.

The Bible isn’t just a book—it’s a love letter, a sword, a mirror, a guide, and a weapon. It reminds us of who God is, who we are, and what is true when everything around us is shouting lies. We must align our thinking with the truth of God’s Word daily, especially in a culture that wants to redefine everything.

You Are Clothed in Christ

This week, we’ve been reminded that we are not just saved but clothed in Christ. All of His righteousness has been given to us. This is the doctrine of imputation: His perfection covering our imperfection. When God looks at you, He sees Jesus. That doesn’t excuse sin but gives us confidence as we grow.

We also have the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. They’re not just goals; they are gifts. We’ve received them, and now we walk them out.

Your Identity Impacts Others

Our walk with Christ isn’t just personal—it’s powerful. You are an ambassador for the Kingdom. When people see you, they should get a glimpse of Jesus. That doesn’t mean we have to be perfect, but it does mean our transformation should be visible.

Whether people knew you before Christ or are just meeting you now, your life should testify to the reality of the Gospel. We are the hands and feet of Jesus. People are reading your life before they ever open a Bible. What does your life say about Him?

You Are Living Loved and Living Sent

We close this series with a charge: Live loved and live sent.

You don’t have to go to the nations to be a missionary—you already are one. Right where you are. In your school, workplace, grocery store, family, or neighborhood. You are sent there by God. That is your mission field.

You are here on purpose, for a purpose. The year, the job, the kids, the friendships—none of it is by accident. You are God’s chosen instrument to bring light, love, truth, and peace into where He’s planted you.

Conclusion: Live Like You Know Who You Are

When we walk in our true identity in Christ, everything shifts. Our confidence grows, our love deepens, our purpose becomes clearer, and others are impacted by our transformation.

You are not forgotten. You are not a mistake. You are not powerless. You are a daughter of the most high God—chosen, loved, empowered, and sent.

My prayer is that you don’t just know these truths, but that you live them. Preach the Gospel to yourself every day. Let the Word renew you. Let your life reflect Him. And never forget—you are not alone. You are covered. You are equipped. You are His.

God bless you, sister. Keep going. You were made for such a time as this.
